I had some errands to run, so Dan was holding down the fort. I uploaded the pictures and found this one. Too funny. I'm the one who takes all the pictures, so I was quite surprised to see this. Goofy boys. =)

May 23

Dan was working on Sunday, so we decided to take it easy and skip church this week. I tried to do a little yard work while Syd napped. It was about 75 degrees by 10am, but of course, Bryce insisted on wearing his winter snow boots outside. Again, not a battle I was in the mood to have. {see here}

May 22

Our neighborhood had a little get together down at the park. All the kids were playing in the sprinkler bears so Bryce figured he would dive in too. Somehow he got lost in the commotion of kids, and when I spotted him, he was the life of the party :)

I didn't realize how good this girl has gotten with her little hands until I gave her some puffs to eat. Wow! She had no trouble picking them up and getting them right to her mouth.

Bryce and I had some fun "one on one" time while Sydney napped today. We played with bubbles, jumped off the big rocks, went for a little walk, and took pictures. This was what I found when I uploaded my pictures. Nice!

Hung out with Amy and Charlotte for the day. Bryce and Charlotte got lots of sun (see the red cheeks) and very little rest. This was our attempt to wind them down.

Went to my happy place today :) Literally. Spent all of the gift card (and then some). That place gets me into trouble.

I am so behind on my actual album.  I am so glad that I've been keeping up with the pictures (and journaling) on the blog so I can go back and actually get this done.  What a slacker.  :)

My kids frickin hate the nursery at church. Whatever. Today was my day to do the media and Dan was working, so I was there alone. When I dropped the kids off, I specifically told them that I was alone, and running the slides and could not leave to come get them, so if the kids were screaming...just deal with it. Ahhhh, a whole hour by myself. It was pure bliss :)

Poor Syd. She has a pretty nasty cold right now, on top of 2 teeth popping through. Please note the glare of the boogies dripping out of her nose. I've been keeping the Tylenol flowing the last few days and she is REALLY enjoying it. She was sucking on the dropper like a bottle. Like mother like daughter.

I took this picture because I feel like this is where I spend the majority of my day. At the table feeding the kids. 3 meals a day, plus snacks...we are ALWAYS doing this. I suppose I should make the most of this time and enjoy being with them. Bryce did show me with his french toast that he knew the difference between Big and Little. {see here} That was pretty cool.

Finally finished the 4th Twilight book today. OMG...I might be mildly obsessed. This was by far my favorite one. It is so hard to find time to read though with the craziness of two kids? I usually read before bed and got about 2 pages in and fall asleep. This book seemed to take forever to get through. It was totally worth it though!!

Happy Birthday Bryce! 2 years old!!! Dan took the day off and we went to the Children's museum. This is the perfect place for him. He could touch everything and be as loud as he wanted. He is playing in the bubble exhibit and loved being able to get all wet. We will definitely be going back.

I know, I know, I say this every month...but I cannot believe this little girl is 7 months old!!??? Where does the time go? I will be honest and say that I don't really enjoy every aspect of the baby stage, but it does make me a little sad that she is such a big girl now. (for some reason?)

Mother's Day. First of all, this picture is disgusting, but it was 8:00 in the morning and I was tired and unshowered. We went out to breakfast at Real Food Cafe, then I went to church...alone :) Stopped for a pedicure on the way home, then we went for a walk around Reed's Lake. Nachos and Margaritas for dinner. It was a very nice day. {see here}

We had the family over for Bryce's 2nd birthday party. I have so many pictures and didn't know which to choose for my POTD, but I think I might do a scrapbook page of his party and his actual b-day for my album. None-the-less, here he is opening presents with dad.

...And phase 2 of our backyard landscape project is under way! Bryce is obsessed with any kind of tractor, so he stood like this the entire time and watched.

It has been way too long! Mary and I don't get to hang out much, so when she told me she organized a "Cinco de Mayo Pub Crawl", I was totally in! So what if she is 20 weeks preggo and it was a Wednesday night? It was an excuse to catch up and have some fun. She is so good about making girlfriend time.

Cortney and Kevin had a date night, so Aiden came over to hang out with us. Bryce loves playing with this kid!

Met with Paula to have some updated pictures of the family. Sydney did so well (ok, not in THIS picture necessarily). We got some great shots of the kiddos. {see here}

Drove home from Detroit/Howell, and pulled in the driveway just as Dan was finishing up the lawn. Of course Bryce had to get his mow-mow out and help Dad!

Drove to Detroit and met the family at Bennegins for dinner after Meg's graduation. Yay Meg!

April 30

Took Syd to her 6 month well visit today. She weighs 17.14lbs (75%), Height is 26 3/4 in (73%), and head is 44cm (81%...smart girl). She is getting sooooooo big! She got 3 shots and and oral vaccine. Cried pretty hard (and loud), but took a great nap when she got home!

April 29

We are on a pretty good schedule with Sydney these days. She's still doing 3 naps (sometimes just 2), and she eats a ton! We are trying to stick to the pediatricians recommended schedule: Wake/Nurse, Breakfast (fruit/cereal), nurse, lunch (vegetable/cereal), nurse, dinner (fruit/veg), nurse/bed. Therefore...I feel like I am feeding her all day long!

With 2 kids in diapers, I feel like this is my life. This morning I did 4 diaper changes in 15 minutes. Why do they always have to poop in freshly changed diapers?

I ordered Bryce a big boy chair for his birthday and it arrived this week. He LOVES it! He points at his name and spells it out. So funny.
