Project Life Tuesday

I feel like I'm always saying "I'm so behind" when I post about Project Life...but I have been sooo behind.  I have practiced due-diligence and kept up with my picture taking each day.  Getting them uploaded and journaled...that is another story.  So what if I only participate in Project life Tuesday once every 6 weeks.  I'm still doing it...right? :)  Thanks for stopping by!

Mom, Steve and Nathan drove up for the night and brought Bryce his new swing set. The kids had fun playing with their cousin and checking out the new play set!

Went out for dinner and drinks with some friends. Since the new patio and fire pit are still in progress, we decided to make a fire on the deck when we got home. THIS is what I walked outside and saw my husband doing. Seriously!?!?

Went over to Molly's for the afternoon to hang with them by the lake. Bryce had a blast swimming and I even let Syd get in and splash around. Chance is getting so big already! Syd had to check him out.

This poor little butterfly was trapped in our garage. It took a while, but we rescued him and got him out.

One of our many outings with the Duffners! We went to Millenium Park, and they had so much great play equipment for the kids. Bryce always loves hanging with Aiden (or as he calls him "Ee-eey")

Sydney is totally standing up on everything now. She is so excited, and loves to pull up on anything she can get her hands on. It's like a whole new world for her. She gets such a kick out of this little table.

Spend the day at the beach, then drove up Old Mission Peninsula to visit the wineries. We stopped at 5, then went to dinner at Mission Table. It was such a great day.

Weekend away with no kids!! Darcy and Sarah drove over and we made the trip up to Traverse City today. Got to our hotel right on the East Bay and relaxed on the beach for a while. Went downtown for some dinner and drinks.

The cement truck came today to pour cement for the patio. For some reason, Bryce loves Cement Mixers, so he was thrilled to have one right outside our house!

Went to Dad's house to swim and wish him a happy birthday before heading back to Grand Rapids. Bryce had a blast swimming in the pool and the hot tub. (despite his face in the picture).

Went over to the Sobie's house for the night to celebrate Emma and Jimmy's marriage. He had to leave for California, and soon Afghanistan, so they decided to get married before he left. All her friends and family came together in a little over a week and planned everything. It was great!

It is amazing to me that Bryce will be still and quiet for so long if he has a car or truck to play with. He drives all over the chair or couch...back and forth, just watching it and pretending with sound effects. He is such a busy kid that it is so refreshing when he can play quietly!!

Since Cortney and I were flying solo this weekend (no husbands) we took the kids to Frederick Meijer Garden. The boys had a blast playing in the water and fountains. Syd...well, she was being Syd.

We were playing on the porch and Sydney looked so tiny next to our abnormally tall front door. I just thought this was a funny picture. Maybe when she is bigger I will make her sit here and compare pictures :)

I took advantage of the kids' overlapping naps today. It was a gorgeous day so I parked my pasty butt in a lawn chair on the deck and did this for about an hour. PURE BLISS!

One of the highlights of our day. We can hear the mail man coming down the street (his truck is pretty loud?) and Bryce always wants to go see him. He isn't very friendly, but we always say hi anyway.

Dan and I attended an Alumni Event for GVSU. It was great to catch up with some old friends and get all dressed up.

Gram and Papa McKee were camping in Holland for the week, so we took a drive out there for the afternoon to visit. It was such a beautiful day by the beach and we had a nice time out to lunch. Bryce really enjoyed spending time with his Great Grandparents.

Big day around here! Garage cleaning! I tease Dan about being so Anal, but he is totally rubbing off on me. We organized, purged, shop vac-ed the garage floor (are you kidding me?), and it felt so good to be able to walk through there again. The things that I find joy in these days???

Went to get Syd out of her crib and she was up on here knees holding onto the side. She was so excited and proud of herself. Time to lower the crib matress!

I had to run a few errands, and while I was out, I popped into the office where I used to work (before kids) and say Hi. Bryce thought the warehouse was so great and ran around everywhere. Needless to say...we didn't stay too long. It was great to see some old familiar faces.

Met the girls in Grand Haven for Dinner. Several of us couldn't make it to Jenny's Bridal shower, so we met for dinner instead so we could catch up and exchange gifts. It was nice to see the girls and get away for the night.

Holy Crap! She is figuring out how to pull herself up on things! While I am sooo proud of her, I know what is about to come! Smacked face, bumped head, standing up, crying because she can't get down, more smacked face...uh oh!

Had dinner over at the Spaniolos. I forgot to take a picture, so I had Amy whip out her cell phone and grab a picture of the kids playing outside. Bryce wasn't too sure about the trampoline, but once I got out there with him, he thought it was pretty cool.
